Cook County Saloon – Est. 1981
Edmonton’s best country bar is Cook County Saloon. After opening our doors Christmas weekend of 1981, we have been the best venue for live music, socializing, and country dance for 40 years. Built on local and homegrown country values, we truly know the Alberta way.
Cook County Saloon has one of the most famous stages in all of Canada. Artists such as Keith Urban, and George Strait have performed over the years. More recently, artists such as Lindsay Elle, Blanco Brown, Gord Bamford, Dean Brody, Brett Kissel, Jo Jo Mason, The Washboard Union, and Granger Smith have graced our stage! Our smaller venue size combined with a dancefloor stage provides an intimate experience with the artists that you will never forget.

What to Expect:
An awesome experience. From the moment you check in with our front door staff, to the bartender serving you drinks, to the live music and dance, there is always something to ‘fill your cup!
If we do not have a live band playing, we will have an incredible DJ spinning all your favourite Country tunes. There is always a drink special to keep your hands full, and if they’re empty, expect them to be filled with someone who wants to do some two-steppin’! We also have pool tables scattered throughout the bar for some billiards action, as well as a General Store where you can purchase merchandise, snacks, or even a custom cook county belt buckle. There’s never a dull moment at Cook!
