Covid 19 Immunization Policy
Starting September 20 2021, we will be participating in Alberta’s exemption program. In order for us to operate, the Government of Alberta states that you must provide the following:
Proof of vaccination. (At least one dose.) One dose will be accepted from September 20 to October 25. Full vaccination (two doses) will be required after October 25.
Proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories are not allowed.)
Documentation of a medical exemption.
In order for us to operate at full capacity, we kindly ask that you provide us with proof of vaccination (or alternatively, a privately paid negative PCR or laboratory test within 72 hours) if you are visiting Cook County Saloon.
Until the province implements their QR code system, you can provide an immunization card, a photo of your vaccine documents, or the online record through httpss://albertavaccinerecord.ca/.

According to Alberta Health Services, Masks are mandatory:
- In all indoor public spaces, workplaces, and places of worship, including eligible businesses that implement the Restriction Exemption Program.
- For employees in all indoor work settings, expect while alone in work station
Please do not remove your mask if:
- you are dancing
- you are in the washroom
- speaking to any staff member
You can remove your mask if:
- you are actively drinking
- you are seated at a table.
- you are outside and socially distanced
- you have proof of medical exemption
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are you allowed to serve alcohol after 10:00PM?
A: Yes! As part of the Alberta exemption program, we can serve alcohol right up until last call. (2:00AM)
Q: I just got my first Covid Vaccine shot. Can I come into the bar?
A: It takes 14 days for the Covid Vaccine to take effect. If it has been at least 14 days, you can enter with proof of one dose until October 25. However, you can get a rapid test within 72 hours of visit and that will grant you entry!
Q: Someone I know does not have their ID, can they get into the bar?
A: The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission provide all liquor licensed establishments with strict guidelines. If these conditions are not met, the bar can be fined substantially and/or our liquor licence can be revoked indefinitely. Below are the guidelines that must be met to enter our premises.
Valid Primary Identification must:
– Have a photo
– Include a date of birth
– Have a name
– Not be expired
– Have a signature
– Have a unique number
– Be gov. issued
– Be an original (not a copy)
Highschool/post-secondary student ID, healthcare cards (except Ontario), employee ID, credit/debit cards, club memberships, marriage certificates, temporary drivers license permit, laminated or photocopied documents, and expired ID more than 14 days will not be accepted for entry.

Q: How much is coat check?
A: Coat check is included in your $10 cover cost. If you have a guest list, it is $2.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: No sweat pants/joggers, no steel/composite toed boots, no soiled or chemically stained clothing, no offensive or “support” wear, footwear must be worn at all times. As the old saying goes, no shoes, no shirt, no service!
